This Website Does Not Use Cookies
Most cookie policies are written to justify a long list of trackers. Ours is short, because this website sets no cookies at all.
There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts loading in the background. We do not build a profile of you, and there is nothing on this site that follows you to another one.
That is also why you have not been shown a cookie banner. A banner is required when a site stores or reads information on your device beyond what is strictly necessary. This one does not, so there is nothing to ask you to consent to.
The typefaces and icons used on this site are served from our own servers rather than a third-party network, so simply loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.
What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise your device on a later visit. Cookies can be useful — they are what keeps you logged in to a website, or remembers what is in a shopping basket — but they can also be used to follow people between websites and build advertising profiles.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another company whose content is embedded in the page are called third-party cookies.
The One Exception: Google Maps
Our contact page includes an embedded Google map showing where we are based. It is placed below the main content and only loads if you scroll down to it.
When that map loads, it is served by Google rather than by us, and Google may set cookies or collect information about the request in the same way it would if you visited Google Maps directly. We have no control over those cookies and cannot read them. Google’s own privacy policy explains what it does with that information.
If you would rather not load the map, you can simply not scroll to it. Our full address, telephone number and email address are given as ordinary text on the same page and in the footer of every page, so you never need the map to get in touch.
Enquiry Forms
Our enquiry forms do not use cookies. When you submit one, the details you have typed are sent to us and handled as described in our privacy policy — but nothing is stored on your device.
How to Control Cookies
Even though this site does not set cookies, you may want to manage them for the web generally. Every major browser lets you view the cookies that have been stored, delete them, and block them — either entirely or per site. You will usually find these controls under Settings, in a section named Privacy, Security or Site Settings.
Blocking all cookies will stop many other websites from working properly. It will not affect this one.
All About Cookies is a useful independent guide if you want to read more.
If This Changes
We may add website analytics in future, to understand which pages are useful. If we do, we will update this page before it goes live and add a consent banner where one is required, so that nothing is set on your device without your agreement first.
