Large-Scale Exterior Painting and Decorating Project in Bransgore
Arranmac carried out exterior painting and decorating works across a development of 44 terraced houses in Bransgore. The project involved a phased approach, working through the homes in sections to ensure each property was properly prepared, repaired, painted, and left clean.
The works included masonry painting, timber door preparation, garage door painting, guttering and downpipe cleaning, timber surround painting, carpentry repairs, and scaffold access where required.
The Brief
The client required exterior decorating works across a large number of terraced houses and garages. The aim was to refresh the appearance of the development while dealing with the different surfaces and access requirements across the site.

Scaffold Access Over Conservatories
Some of the properties at the rear had conservatories, which meant scaffold access was required to reach certain areas safely and properly.
Arranmac arranged scaffold where needed, allowing the team to complete the exterior decorating works without compromising access, safety, or the quality of the finish.
Phased Exterior Decorating Works
Arranmac began the project by completing the first six houses, working on both the front and rear elevations. The team then moved on to the next set of properties, continuing through the development in sections.
This phased approach helped keep the site organised and allowed the team to focus on proper preparation and finishing across each row of terraced houses.
As part of the works, the team also completed a row of garages, with around 17 garage doors painted on both sides.
Carpentry Repairs and Timber Preparation
Some areas of timber required carpentry repairs before decoration could continue. Arranmac arranged these repairs as part of the wider project, ensuring damaged or worn timber was dealt with before painting.
This allowed the team to create a better surface for decorating and helped avoid simply painting over defects that needed proper attention.
Once repaired, the timber areas were prepared, filled where needed, rubbed down, spot coated, and finished using suitable exterior paint systems.
Surface Cleaning and Preparation
Before painting began, the team washed down the plastic surfaces, including the guttering, downpipes, UPVC windows, and other exterior areas.
The wooden doors, garage doors, and timber surrounds were also washed down, scraped, and rubbed down to remove loose material and prepare the surfaces for painting.
Proper preparation was an important part of the project, helping ensure the finished paintwork looked clean, consistent, and suitable for exterior conditions.
Masonry, Doors and Garage Painting
